The 2nd ANNUAL GLAAWC Youth Spoken Word Competition takes place on the evening of Friday, Oct.1

The actual conference is convened on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8:55am when we begin with African drumming until 5pm. The day will consist of music, spoken word, lectures, panel discussions and much more celebrating the African and African American literary arts.

Author/Creator Dominique Briggs and DEMASKUS Theater Collective partnered with the August Wilson African American Cultural Center of Pittsburgh and Words With Wings LLC to bring this Cleveland premiere presentation to GLAAWC.
